This year has had to see the pirates from Disney, and next will be the turn of Aardman. Here I bring you the trailer for ‘The Pirates! Band of Misfits “(” Pirates! Gang of misfits’), the latest stop-motion production of the famous British animation studio, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation. Personally I cannot wait to see it, not only has good looks, but because I love stories about pirates, and unfortunately now almost not made. And when you do, ruin the magic, humor and adventure with products intended only to obliterate box office, not to captivate, excite or arouse the imagination.

Hugh Grant, Martin Freeman, David Tennant, Brendan Gleeson, Jeremy Piven, Salma Hayek, Imelda Staunton, Ashley Jensen and Russell Tovey, among others, put their voices to the characters in the film, which was co-directed by Peter Lord (“Chicken Run ‘) and Jeff Newitt. Written by Gideon Defoe, ‘The Pirates! Band of Misfits “focuses on the Pirate Captain (Grant), who begins a journey full of dangers and adventures to defeat his rival Black Bellamy (Piven) and Cutlass Liz (Hayek), and win the prize for Best Pirate year. Unfortunately, much remains for us to see the movie, opens in theaters March 30 2D and 3D.

The trailer does not look so terribly wrong, I assure you. 20th Century Fox has sought to renew interest in ‘Rio’ by launching a new trailer and poster definitive production of this new animated by Blue Sky. Directed by Carlos Saldanha (responsible for ‘Ice Age’ and its two sequels), the film has the charm of having the voices of Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, George Lopez, Tracy Morgan, Jemaine Clement, Leslie Mann, will. i.am and Jamie Foxx for the main characters. Will be in theaters on April 8 in 2D and 3D rooms.

Written by Don Rhymer, ‘Rio’ focuses on Blu, a tame macaw who lives with his owner in a small town American, his life changed completely when he was transferred to Brazil (specifically Rio de Janeiro, hence the title of the film ) so you can mate with a female of his species. The main drawback is that no Blu know how to fly, so can not pursue the chosen properly, which as usual is not going to put it all easy. And there arise a lot of things funny I hope. What surprised me is that the plot looks very suspiciously like that of ‘Newt’, a Pixar project that was canceled this year, the story revolved around a blue-footed newts whose mission was to seduce the last female the species to avoid extinction. A pity that we cannot see this one.
